Abbassia 6th 0900 All Officers, W.O's and N.C.O's attended an R.A. Demonstration by 18 pdrs and 25 pdrs - 4.5 Hows.  
Fayum 8th   The Battery less "B" Troop, in skeleton, took part in 4th Indian Division exercise lasting five days.  
Abbassia 15th   Lieut. F.B. Wyldbore Smith was posed to the Battery from "P" Battery  
Abbassia 22nd   Musketry and Bren Gun firing was carried out.  
Abbassia 25th   Lt. P.W.G. Pope left the Batteru on appointment to Acting Capting  
Abbassia 25th   Lieut. F.B. Wyldbore Smith appointed Acting Captain w.e.f . 20th November. 1939  
Desert 26th 0900 "C" Troop carried out Bofors firing.  
Desert 31st 0700 The Battery less "B" Troop took part in 7th Armoured Division Full Scale Exercise as controlled enemy.

Abbassia 7th 0630 The Battery Advance Party went to Mersa Matruh by rail.  
Abbassia 8th 0730 The Battery moved out of Abbassia by road Mersa Matruh and camped at El Alamein.  
Matruh 9th 1230 The Battery arrived at Mersa Matruh  
  " 11th   B.S.M. Marsh was granted an emergency commission and posted to "P" Battery R.H.A.  
  " 14th 0700 The Battery took part in an exercise with the 6th Division lasting four days.  
  " 18th 1800 B.S.M. Sterry joined the Battery vice Lt. Marsh.  
  18th 1300 2/Lt W.L.D. Tanner was placed on the D.I. list with Septicaemia.

Matruh 4th 0730 Major J.A. Akroyd Hunt R.H.A. carried out reconnaissance for the defence of SIWA with 6th Divisional Staff, returning on March 8th.  
  7th   Lt. G.E. Anscombe joined the Battery at Mersa Matruh.  
Matruh 23rd 0630 Major J.A. Akroyd Hunt, R.H.A. left the Battery for Cairo to await passage home.  
Helmien 29th 1330 2nd/Lieut, W.T.L. Tanner died in 2/10 General Hospital of Suppurative Pericarditus.
